The Hampton Republican Party needs Election Officers and Pollwatchers

We need conservatives across Hampton to get involved— join us!

 Poll Watchers (PW): Serve short shifts as authorized representatives of the Party or
an independent candidate. Sign up by contacting the RPH. PWs observe activity
and report immediate concerns to RPH. Authorization letters are provided after
completing two Zoom training classes on election law.
 Officers of Election (OE): Earn $200 per day from the City of Hampton to work
inside precincts from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Sign up at the
Hampton Voting Registrar’s office and contact the RPH. RPH OEs must complete
Zoom election law training, be nominated by the RPH Chair, and complete
Hampton OE training.
 Outside Party Volunteers: Distribute approved literature, place signs, write cards,
knock on doors to get out the vote, and make phone calls. Sign up by contacting
the RPH.
Training
Zoom Classes: Held online, usually on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. RPH will
send a registration link after signing up to be an OE, and you may attend on any available
night.
OE Training: In addition to Zoom training, OEs representing RPH must take a two-hour
class at the Registrar’s Office about three weeks before the election. The Registrar’s
Office will contact you by mail to confirm your assignment and training time.
Why Volunteer?
We need more Republicans working at Hampton precincts to ensure fair and equal
representation. It’s rewarding work, and we will guide you every step of the way, so you
are ready for the next primary on August 4 and the federal election on November 3.
